For when I am weak, then I am strong.

The testing of our faith, the trials...to persever, to grow weary...finding our strength in Him.

For the past four days I have been wrestling with my own heart. Battling with my flesh, pressing forward even though much of me just wants to stand still but I dont like to stand still, if there is one thing I dont like the most of all is not getting to know the Lord new each day and just giving into self-pity and this want to put a hault on time.

Yes, life is ever changing and moves happen, new people come, others go! Yes, family are missed and friends too, and of course I dont have answers for people when I am asked where?... what?.. when? and Why?...but none of that is anything big when my vision is set on Christ.

This morning I continued to read in Psalm, amidst Psalm44 there is a gem, in verse 8 it says:

 In God we boast all day long,
And praise Your name forever.

No matter what is going on around us, or how we think we feel, we must be open for the Lord to fill us with His strength and to lift our eyes to Him, our boast in God is what we can always do all day long. I fail... God never does, I fall short...God sends His Son, I sleep when I should be watchful and in pray...Jesus prays for me.
 If I boast in God then these circumstances do not matter, for God created the heavens and the earth and He is in control.

When we are facing uncertainties, or so many things up in the air or are unsure of so many things to come, we must remember 1Peter1:6-9:

In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ, whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, receiving the end of your faith- the salvation of your souls.

Though today you maybe weary, and your heart has grown cold and hard, search the scriptures for what God has said about these times.

Remember what Proverbs3:5-7 says:

Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.
Do not be wise in your own eyes;
Fear the Lord and depart from evil.

Then verse 8 says:

It will be health to your flesh,
And strength to your bones.

The Lord God knows exactly what we need today. Though it maybe one of those days when you can feel the battle you are in, know that God has victory and has prepared you for this and also that it may be testing your faith.

Remember God is looking for child-like faith. Not complicated faith but simple, child-like faith.
He is loving, kind, patient and just. He will lead us and guide us, comfort us and correct us, but are we willing to hear?

Rejoice in the Lord for He is good, His mercy endures forever <3

  1. Thank you so much for sharing your heart. I am in this spot right now. I greatly needed to be reminded that when I do not know what the next day holds He has me in His hand. When I have no strength He will live through me. Thank you so much for your encouragement to your brothers and sisters in Christ! -

  2. God bless you dear friend! It is during these times when God can show us what we need to let go of in order to have more of Him and more trust in Him. Walking by faith and not by sight. Much love!

Have you ever noticed things happening in your day or events happening in your life when you say to yourself..that was just weird, not normal or no one could have forseen it..like incidents were planned to happen, ment to happen but there was no way you or anyone else could have seen it coming...or even planned it for that matter! Its weird when that happens isnt it. For me its been happening a lot lately, but I really do think it was always happening in my life and also in your life but we just dont see it, or if we do we write it off as being some odd coincidence. During this summer I've been longing to study the bible more and more..ok so that doesnt sound like everyones cup of tea but it is mine-its like a big mug of barrys tea to me! Friends of mine have and are studying in a bible college in Siegen, Germany (Calvary Bible college). The more and more I heard about the bible college and studying the word, the more I grew excited about having the opportunity to study and tau...

College year 2012/2013

Its been a little while since I wrote last. When my writing stops or I go quiet, sometimes its because I am kinda standing still in my life in a way...this time it has been because of fear. The last two weeks have flown by...each day has been such a mix, with hopeless moments followed by encouragement from the Lord. His steadfast lovingkindness definetly sums up my last two weeks. College is a huge challenge for me. I am so thankful to know that I'm ment to be there. God has shown this to me clearly through His Word and opened the doors for me to go to college. It was given to me by Him and its a gift I am thankful for it. But boy is it a challenge!! The course I am doing doesnt have a whole lot of class hours, I havnt had that many exams so far and overall it shouldnt be that intimidating, but to me it is. I am 25, (26 next month...mini life crisis ahead!!:)) and I have never been good at dealing with academic stuff. I have always wanted to teach children. Always....

Rain drops keep falling on my head!

Today here in Cork, it is definetly an umbrella day! Each day here in Ireland the weather can be so different. Yesterday we had snow and sun and today we have lots of rain. Each day we can have many thoughts, worries, wants and needs. Each day God is the same. Each day His Word remains the same. Each day His promises are true. In Matthew6:25 Jesus says: 'Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?'   Matthew6:34 Jesus says, 'Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.' Please note that I am not saying that these things arent important and I do not expect a package outside my door with an outfit picked out and a food basket next to it saying 'with love from God' each morning. Of course God provides ...
